Sleeping Beauty Castle Wedding Art

My niece, Quinn, asked me to sketch and paint the Sleeping Beauty Castle from Disneyland as a wedding gift for her friend, Dane, and his fiancée, Lauren. I went through several iterations of the piece before finalizing it. This was my first commissioned artwork.
Lauren is a huge Disney and Disneyland fan who loves all the Disney Princesses, which naturally meant she would have a Princess-themed wedding. The bridesmaids wore dresses in the same colors as the fairy godmothers: Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. I used gold metallic paint and gold leaf on the castle and banner details.
Before shipping the artwork to my niece, I added shades of salmon, pink, and lavender to the sky, drawing inspiration from the French 18th-century artist Fragonard. I also decided to include Tinker Bell hovering over the castle and glued tiny glass crystals onto the artwork to add some more Disney magic.
