Rocketeer: The Great American Hero
Disneyland

After graduating from Rutgers with my MFA, I cut my design teeth while working as an art director at Disneyland.
I designing the Dick Tracy show at Disney World & Disneyland which promoted the film release. Michael Eisner thought the show was a big hit for the parks and the studio. The Rocketeer was coming out the following summer, and I started designing the show for the Videopolis stage.
Unfortunately, the movie did not do well, and the project was stopped. Here is the pencil sketch I created for the look of the Proscenium and front show drop. Learn more about my other Scenic Designs from Disneyland at https://www.stanleyameyerdesignllc.com/
