Atlantis Dubai "Atlantis Rises"

My colleague Elizabeth Hansen, Owner and Producer at InMotion Entertainment, and I were commissioned to create a series of innovative entertainment concepts for Atlantis Dubai, highlighting their dolphins, sea lions, and whales. We were flown to Dubai for a series of strategic meetings and an in-depth survey of the entire property, including the Royal Suites in the hotel. Throughout our visit, we were treated like royalty.

Elizabeth and her co-producer, Annabella Colletti, assembled a talented team of writers and songwriters to craft dynamic concepts. As the Lead Production Designer, I oversaw the visuals for the shows and entertainment experiences, including a parade, engaging walk-around entertainment, and a children's-themed playground.

The most critical undertaking was the creation of a massive indoor stadium featuring multiple pools designed to showcase the animals in an array of spectacular shows. Collaborating closely with my Associate Scenic Designer, Brian Webb, I developed a cutting-edge performance space that could seamlessly accommodate diverse shows and scenery, significantly enhancing the visual impact surrounding the "show pool." It would be like a repertory theatre but with animals.
