101 Things I Hate About Your House
Interior Design Self Help Book

Instead of using photographs or realistic illustrations of people, I developed a creative concept to enhance each chapter and topic in Jim and Carol's writing. I decided to create whimsical and fun illustrations featuring Jim's two dogs, Max and Mickey, Carol's blue fish, and my cat, Barney, placing them in clever and humorous scenarios.
For example, to illustrate the problem of having too many pillows on the couch, leaving no space for guests to sit, I sketched a massive pile of pillows and bolsters resembling the Empire State Building. In the illustration, Barney hangs off the top like King Kong, with biplanes wizzing around, while Mickey and Max watch from below.
In another illustration about properly hanging art in your home, Barney loses his patience with Mickey and Max, who are struggling to hang the painting titled "The Meow."
Enjoy the photos of the sketches and final watercolor versions displayed on the wall of my studio in New York City.
The title of the book is a bit harsh, so when I signed copies at BEA (Book Expo America) in NYC, I would always say, "Hate Nothing! Love All!"
